The digital signature is a specific application of the electronic signature. A digital signature requires a digital certification. Digital certificates are the key component of PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) technology and are issued by a certification authority to be used in the digital signature process, which provides a high level of authentication, integrity, and security for all parties. Due to the infrastructure required to handle PKI technology, digital signatures are commonly used in government agencies, such as ministries and public administrations, and in regulated industries with internal workflows, such as pharmaceuticals.

Tecalis Signature's electronic signature process is governed by the regulations of the European Union (eIDAS Regulation EU 910/2014), the United States (ESIGN Act, 2000 and UETA, 1999), the United Kingdom (UK Electronic Communication Act), and the rest of the WTO (World Trade Organization) member countries granting the necessary validity to be legally binding.

Enter the e-mail addresses of the signatories in the order in which you want them to sign. Recipients simply click on a link and sign into a browser on their computer or mobile device. Our notification system will alert as soon as the document has been viewed or signed, as well as generate automatic alerts when a deadline has been set. All parties involved receive a secure copy of the signed document. This is stored along with the audit trail on the Internet or wherever you prefer.

A user is a person registered in Tecalis Signature who submits documents to be signed through the management panel. Users can access their account through the e-mail address and password they have previously registered in the system or through their Google account.

Tecalis Signature users have a management panel from where they can consult and control the whole signing process. From this panel, you can check the status of any document that needs to be signed (sent, pending signature, or signed), the history of signed documents, the document archive, and the record of evidentiary documents generated in each operation. In addition, the panel also has an automated alert system to be informed at all times of the status of signature requests.

No, only the person sending documents to sign has to be registered in the Tecalis Signature service. The people who receive the signature request only have to access the document and sign it via the URL sent to their email.

Our evidential document is designed to facilitate the reading and location of the different electronic pieces of evidence that we collect during the signing process. The following electronic evidence is detailed in the "Sending information" section:

Time stamping is an online mechanism that allows to guarantee that a series of data have existed and have not been altered since a specific instant in time. It certifies the identity of the person signing and also the exact date and time when the signature was made. To guarantee this fact it is necessary to use a Time Stamp Authority (TSA), which acts as a trusted third party, declaring the existence of such electronic data at a specific date and time. The time stamping used by Tecalis Signature is internationally recognized, so it can be used in any country or region.

The signature request is made through your usual mail manager, without having to enter third party platforms or applications, and the person signing can do it from their mobile device without having to install any extra application because Tecalis Signature uses cloud technology, where you can access it from any device and place, just by having internet and a browser.

PDF documents can be signed through a smartphone or tablet with Windows Mobile (Microsoft), iOS (Apple), and Android operating systems.

Tecalis Signature provides the highest levels of security and confidentiality. Data access is done through a secure HTTPS channel using 256-bit AES encryption and SSL 256 Bit Encryption.

Tecalis Signature generates a time-stamped evidentiary document, issued by a certification authority, which ensures that documents and signatures have not been altered. It records the email address (of both the receiver and the sender), the name of the document, and the exact place and time it was signed. These documents have full legal validity in a court of law, based on evidentiary law. Tecalis Signature and all documents are hosted in a SAS70 Type II facility, which has obtained ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 certification.
